Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie-Boulder is the heart of the Goldfields and has everything you'd expect in a modern regional centre. It has much to offer whether you're a young family, individual, young people or just the young at heart. Whether you enjoy being close to the bush or enjoy a hot drink closer to the CBD, Kalgoorlie has something for everyone.
Kalgoorlie’s community spirit is like no other – from our regular local events such as the Boulder Markets, Sunset at the Soundshell, the KB Creatives pop up shops, parks runs and regular quiz nights at The Miners' Rest, you will always have something to do that our community has helped to put on! When you’re walking around the CBD or through historical Burt Street, don’t forget to shop LoKal.
One of the four original sites, Kalgoorlie is the administrative headquarters of The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia. It is in a dedicated building on the site of Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital with both administrative and teaching facilities.

Health Services
Kalgoorlie RCSWA has a close working relationship with Plaza Medical Centre, Bega Garnbirringu Aboriginal Medical Services and Alpha Medical Centre. Plaza Medical Centre is a procedural general practice with six general practitioners. It is housed in a very relaxed and spacious area, with brand new modern equipment.
The local hospital is Kalgoorlie Health Campus, and it is one of the largest regional public hospitals in WA with 106 inpatient beds. Extra activities
Kalgoorlie-Boulder may be in the middle of the desert but from the grounds at Hammond Park, streetscapes in the city and the multiple playgrounds and parks may have you forgetting that fact. The area has multiple walking trails, cycle paths and various parks and precincts around town where you can relax and unwind. There are also many local social and competitive sporting opportunities available – football, netball, basketball, speedway, cricket, hockey, squash and volleyball just to name a few! If you are creative, Kalgoorlie's arts and crafts scene is something that shouldn't be missed, from the murals around town to productions in our theatre to the pop-up markets and of course, our local galleries – Fossick and Co, Black Crow Studio, Bush Blossom Gallery & Chunky Timbers. Goldfields Art Centre hosts everything from world-class productions to local concerts; there is always something going on.
